The stage crosses two passes. Initially it goes through the Schiantalà valley to the Rostagno pass. A steep descent leads down to the Migliorero hut, after which the trail heads up to the Laroussa pass. It heads down again to San Bernolfo and along the bottom of the Bagni valley all the way down to Strepeis.

    The climb to Passo di Laroussa is useless as Bagni Di Vinadio can be reach directly from Rifugio Migliorero. The way down from the hut to Bagni is nice and well marked.

    Trieste - Monaco, Sommer 2020: Tipp: Ich machte neben Strepeis in Bagni di Vinadio im Hotel Corborant eine Pause. Es gibt einen Pool (der zwar schon geleert wurde) aber noch viel besser: 3-5 Minuten laufen vom Hotel in Richtung Tal und man kommt durch einen kleinen Weg zu den heissen Quellen mit drei Naturpools. Tolle Beinmuskulaturentspannung!
