Dolicu is a perfect place to ascent Triglav. The trail up (and back down) is okay, you don´t really need any special equipment except of good hiking boots and clothes to keep you dry and warm. It´s a 700 metres ascent (and decent). You can combine it with R13 if you don´t start late. Then it´s 700 metres up and 2.200 down.

1 day from Dom na komni to Trenta.
There is drinking water at koca pri triglavskih jezerih.
Took the bus to Bovec trying to fix some gear and to have a burek before leaving Slovenia! 1.3 € the ride. Good camping options, better resupply and town life.

I didn't try to summit Triglav (weekend-crowd & instable wheather) but somehow regret it now... Dolicu only opend beginning of july but offers level ground to set up a tent - no water though.
The trail mentioned by Carsten below is great! Don't follow the early marked path directly down to the valley but stay on the broader trail!
Two campsite i Trenta: Kamp Trenta a bit to the right an dKamp Triglav a bit further down alog the creek passing the little shop and a nice restaurant some 100 mtr before the campsite. Kamp Triglav had loads of space and good facilities (inkl. a coffee vending machine :). 14.- for my small tent.

Some snowfields on the way down to Trenta on june 26th but not problematic.

Koca na dolicu was closed on Sunday 26th.

Beautiful mule trail followed by easy forest walk (and shade).
Water beginning about an hour before the end of the stage on several occasions (creek, river) and spring with trough and wooden half-pipe c.1.5km before the end of R13.
Camping possibilities starting c.1 hour before the end of R13, though possibly prohibited.
Last hour invites on several occasions to sit and relax.
Trenta Market (store) is tiny (20sqm?) but has a bit of everything. Closes 19:30 (at least on a Tuesday in early July).

As I'm hiking during high season, all the huts are full. Since camping is not allowed, this is a kind of difficult situation for long distance hikers. You have to make reservations or need a bit of good luck... I decided not to go to the Triglav peak, because it was extremely good weather and I happened to be here on a Saturday. It's simply too crowded in my opinion. I took another route from Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih via Koča Sasavska (beautiful location!). A fenomemal hike on a superb hiking path. I enjoyed it a lot!

Monaco Trieste, 06.28.2014 At the museum, ability to wash clothes. Interesting tour of the museum. The reception staff are very good advice. Groceries in front of the museum. Camping Soca approximately 1.5km to the next step. Nice place, cheap bungalow barely more expensive than the location tent.

Who Trenta can not provide accommodation, or who is quicker below, I recommend leaving it running until the end of the Soca trail (road a small beautiful church, a botanical garden with all alpine plants, visit recommended, then the famous gorge, and the Kugejev bronze) at the end of a nice hut (Koca pri izviru Soce 886m, Alpine Association), where you can stay and eat well, wash with a bit critical as is over the Soca river next door. Distance from the Via Alpina route is only 50 meters!

Making the way Trenta-Dolicu, get enough water from the brook before starting the climb. In the Dolicu hut there is no water available, only mineral water (4.5 € for 1.5 liter bottle). It is a good advice too, to bring your own breakfast, since the price for this is astronomical and the quality and quantity are very poor

A touristy town. Just before the info-center there is a small shop with a very limited collection of frozen bread and canned food.
