From Elva there is a road, through fields and woods, to the hamlets of Dao and Chiosso. The trail then crosses the Gias Vecchio valley and heads to Rocca Orsieres and over the S.Michele pass. The route continues past a couple of side valleys to the bottom of the valley, to stop at Ussolo.
